Don's interest in photography, and art in
general, began at the age of 10 when he used a
Kodak®
Brownie Hawkeye camera to shoot hundreds of family photographs
in black-and-white.

Branching out into creating landscapes of his surroundings in the
Blue Ridge mountains, and discovering the fascination of color
photography,
Don realized that photography offered much more than just a way to
document family life.
Serving
as both a photographer and editor of his college newspaper, Don
expanded his experience and interest in photography. After
graduation, he briefly worked for the federal government,
photographing in several locations across the country, including
California, Texas and New York. Returning to his hometown, Don
began his career in the broadcasting industry. At the same
time, he exhibited his work in numerous shows and competitions,
earning several honors and awards.
Later moving to North Carolina and then Ohio, where he currently
resides, Don continued his professional career in advertising,
public relations and marketing while creating his original
photographic monoprints. Now a Certified Photographic
Consultant, Don is returning to his photographic roots to create
a series of black-and-white pigment prints while continuing to expand his repertoire of Polaroid®
image transfers and manipulations.
