Seeing
beyond the surrounding chaos to discover the
true beauty that we rarely take the
time to appreciate
is how my work is created.
My goal is to find what might be
considered ordinary and create an image that is
extraordinary. The discovery and
pleasure that come with seeking the serenity and splendor of what
may be perceived as commonplace provide genuine joy to me.
Much of what I do involves moving the
camera in close and personal. A minimalist by nature, and perhaps
also by design, I seek simplicity in my images. As I observe our environment, I select, extract and improvise.
At the same time, I prefer capturing wide vistas in my landscapes. Hopefully, the resulting
image
will convey the same spiritual feeling to the viewer as was granted
me during the creative process.
