Don Scott Earns CPC Recognition
COLUMBUS OH, January 9, 2007—Central
Ohio fine art photographer Don Scott recently earned his
certification as a fully-accredited professional photographic
consultant from the Society of Certified Photographic
Consultants. The highest professional recognition in the
photographic and digital imaging industry, the Certified
Photographic Consultant designation is awarded after completing
a rigorous two-part examination program.
Now primarily focusing on creating his original photographic
monoprints and Polaroid® image transfers and manipulations,
Scott has used the camera since the age of ten as a means of
creative expression. To create his original photographic monoprints, Scott prints on a variety of substrates, then alters
and enhances each print individually, using a broad assortment
of media, including acrylics, oil sticks, pastels and pencils.
Formerly a marketing
communications executive in the broadcasting industry for more
than 20 years, Scott has exhibited widely in many group shows
and competitions, earning Best-in-Show and Purchase awards among
others. His works are in a number of private and corporate
collections nationwide.
As a Certified Photographic Consultant, Scott will
continue his fine art photography, expanding into infrared and
black-and-white work, as he begins an instructional workshop
program. His first workshop on Polaroid®
image transfers is
scheduled for March 2007.
